Lance Medlin - Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Medlin, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, has an extensive global background in the oil and gas industry, having successfully led major capital developments from concept to operations for ExxonMobil, Shell, Chevron, BP, and others. In such roles, he has served as Chief Operating Officer, Country Manager, Vice President of Engineering and Projects, Project Executive, Project Director, and Executive Project Sponsor.

In his career, Mr. Medlin has directly managed development budgets from <$5MM to >$40,000MM successfully delivering complex facilities in both established and developing countries, varying from pipelines in Yemen, water inject facilities in Iraq, offshore facilities in New Zealand, Brazil, and USA, as well as US based Refining assets.

Mr. Medlin is an Engineer with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Organizational Management, bringing with him 25 years’ industry experience in Project Development and Execution.

Mark Fonda - Chief Process Engineer

Mr. Fonda has extensive experience in refinery operations, technical services, process design, project development and plant optimization with Mobil, Ultramar, Hess, Coastal and Sunoco. He has had direct involvement with most refinery technologies and process configurations in several geographic regions serving in management roles within on-site Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Training, Safety, Environmental, Logistics, Economics/Planning, Project Development and Corporate Coordination.

He recently completed consulting roles in several Greentech projects producing low carbon renewable fuels. He has had in-depth involvement with digital transformation, data management, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence for enhanced performance, reliability and scalability.  He served as liaison for the owner/operator in feasibility studies to select process technologies, implement within design, oversee construction, develop operational readiness, assure successful start-up, coordinate commissioning and optimize on-going operations. 

Mr. Fonda has a BSChE from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Duke University.

Aibek Uraimov - Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Uraimov has over 20 years of experience in strategic planning, due diligence, commercial and financial management of downstream and upstream sectors. Mr. Uraimov worked for Petrofac through most of his career in various capacities both internationally, and in the U.S., had been a key part in successful completion of major EPC projects, has helped build a U.S. branch from ground up to a multi-business hub to provide plant asset management, operations readiness, training and competency, and engineering and design services in Houston, TX.

Mr. Uraimov is responsible for establishing and running business services, refinery economics modeling, project controls, information management, IT and telecommunications infrastructure, design and implementation of ERP.

Mr. Uraimov holds two Bachelor degrees majoring in Computer Science, and Computer Information Systems for Business, with minor in Math and a Master of Finance degree.

Kirk Harstad - Executive Vice President, Execution

Mr. Harstad is a seasoned veteran of the energy industry with over 25 years of experience in several fields, including Power Generation, Refining, Chemicals, and LNG. Kirk has successfully managed over 40 complex projects and is a Subject Matter Expert in Commissioning and Start-up, having led such scopes for Shell and BP.

Mr. Harsted has his Bachelor degree from Sam Houston University.

Dan Schild - Executive Vice President, Project Services

Mr. Schild, a graduate with a B.S. in Management from Case Western Reserve University in 1990, has been a Project Controls Specialist with 35 years of experience in project management focusing on cost controls, estimating, and planning/scheduling.  Background includes Project Scheduling Manager, Project Controls Manager, Estimating Manager, and Construction Management.  He has spent equal time of his career working as a client rep and direct for EPC contractors. 

He has experience in projects from <$5MM to >$1,000MMM, grass roots for Oil and Gas, Chemical Plants, Power Plants, Infrastructure, shutdowns (both capital and maintenance), unit revamps, and Offshore Platforms Brownfield/Greenfield work and subsea projects. 

His knowledge base also includes risk management, front-end packages, detail design, procurement, construction, systems turnover, commissioning, and start-up.
